The series of posters I created over the years for the musical events all share a distinct and captivating visual style. Each poster features a silhouette art style combined with a layered paper-cut technique, which has become the hallmark of this series. The silhouettes, representing various musical acts and iconic scenes, create recognisable shapes that capture the essence of the characters and scenes. The layered design adds a sense of depth and dimension, with each layer representing different scenes from each musical.
Challenges
The main challenge was maintaining a consistent visual identity across different musical productions while ensuring each poster felt fresh and unique. This required balancing recognisable silhouettes and layered details without overcrowding the compositions.
Results
The series developed a distinctive and cohesive visual style that became instantly recognisable over the years. The consistent look strengthened audience recognition and created a memorable visual identity for the musical productions.
